Wilburn Wayne “Pa” Egner, 87

Born November 22, 1938, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 18, 2026, at the age of 87.

Wilburn was the beloved husband of the late Helen Egner and a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy in life was his family.

He leaves behind his cherished children: Cheryl (Jim) Perkins, Christelle Ross, Deborah (Mike) Donnelly, Robert Dickerson, Douglas (Mickey) Dickerson, Sharon (Tim) Perry, Shannon (Eric) Feltz, and Willy (Jennifer) Egner.

Wilburn was a proud grandfather to 18 grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to 7 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense joy.

Known to many as “Pa,” Wilburn dedicated 37 years working as a Maintenance Foreman at Hygrade Foods in Livonia, Michigan. He was a huge sports fan and a lifelong supporter of Detroit sports. A devoted Detroit Lions fan and season ticket holder for over 50 years, cheering for his team was one of his greatest passions. An avid bowler, one of his memorable achievements was bowling a perfect 300 game. After retirement, he treasured time spent with his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family friends.

Pa will be remembered for his unwavering support, his knowledge of sports, his kindness, and the love he gave so freely to those around him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Visitation will take place at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Monday, June 22, 2026 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM  and on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from 1:00 PM until his Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.  Interment will take place at Parkview Memorial Cemetery.
