Victoria “Vikki” LaFave, age 58, of Livonia, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, at Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital in Royal Oak.
Vikki is survived by her husband, Darin; her brother, Paul; her niece, Faye, whom she loved like a daughter; her uncle, Wayne (Kim); and her many friends and coworkers from her years with Livonia Public Schools. She was proceded in death by her loving parents Paul and Chrisina Anderson, and her uncle Greg Harris.
Vikki had an extensive career as a dedicated employee of the Livonia Public Schools district. Vikki started her time at Livonia Pulbic Schools as a paraprofessional on the school buses, where she made many meaningful connections with special needs students and their families. In her later years with LPS she took on the position as a router/dispatcher for the transportaion department. She loved spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed hosting get-togethers, including the well-known annual LaFave Poker Night. Vikki also enjoyed cooking, gardening, traveling with her husband, and discovering new restaurants and breweries.
Vikki will be fondly remembered as the life of the party and for the joy she brought to those around her.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 20, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The family has requested casual attire. There is no need to wear black—they would like the gathering to remain happy, relaxed, and celebratory rather than somber.
