Suzanne Krisher

Suzanne Krisher, a devoted mother, talented artist, and cherished family matriarch, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Novi, Michigan. Born on October 4, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, Suzanne's life was characterized by unconditional love, creativity, and a commitment to nurturing her family and community.

Married for nearly 53 years to Charles Krisher, Suzanne shared a partnership grounded in love and mutual respect. Her personal warmth and exceptional hospitality were evident to all who had the privilege of knowing her. An artistic and crafty individual, she embraced sewing, painting, and various crafts, which reflected her deep appreciation for beauty and creativity. Suzanne’s passion for the simple joys of life was exemplified by her love of walking through the woods, playing games, baking, and assembling jigsaw puzzles.

Suzanne found great happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, engaging fully in their sporting events and activities. She delighted in family board games, including monopoly and rummy, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. A well-read individual, Suzanne was also known for her culinary skills, often sharing delicious meals with family and friends, reinforcing the bonds between loved ones around her table. In any free time that Suzanne had, you could find her painting rocks to hide for others to spread kindness. She was an avid rock painter. 

Her legacy is carried on by her loving husband, Charles Krisher; her daughters, Michele Schwantes (Sean McClure) and Jennifer Bradow (James); and her son, Daniel Krisher (Marianne Elizalde). Suzanne was a proud grandma to Elin, Jacob, Nathan, Tegan and Olivia, who were a constant source of joy in her life. She is also survived by her siblings Michael (Joy), Mark (Cindy), and Scott (Ann), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins who treasured her presence in their lives.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Janet Freude, as well as her son-in-law Thane Schwantes and daughter-in-law Devon Krisher.

A visitation will be held at RG & GR Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154, from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. A Funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm. 

Suzanne Krisher’s life was a testament to love, creativity, and family devotion. Her ability to create warmth and joy in the lives of those around her will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
