Sue Ann Vanderbeck Lenz

Sue Ann Vanderbeck Lenz, of Farmington Hills, age 78, went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2026. 

Beloved wife of Richard. Sister-in-law of Arliene Lenz Anderson Miller. Aunt of Kenneth (Patti Smith) Anderson and Elaine (Don) Kidd. Great aunt of Brendan and Alexander Kidd.

Sue was a former Professor of Piano and Music History at Marygrove College for 40 years. She loved greatly and gave unselfishly of her time to the many piano students she was fortunate to teach at her college and home studio. A very sensitive person, Sue felt very close to the beauty in nature and all animals, especially rabbits. Sue will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her compassionate, giving and loving spirit. We rest in the knowledge that she is at home with the Lord and adding to the powerful music of the heavens.

Memorial contributions may be made to the animal organization of your choice or Newburg United Methodist Church music.

A Memorial Service will be held at Newburg United Methodist Church at a later date.
