Ruth E. Gilmore

Age 94 Sept. 23, 2006 Beloved wife of the late Rev. Earl Gilmore. Loving mother of Jim, Mary (Larry) Holstrom, Philip (Jo Ann) and Paul (Sherry) Gilmore. Grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 4. Visitation Thursday and Friday 1-9 pm at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. At Ruth's request, the Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Sat. Sept. 30, at Arthur Center Church of God in Clare County, MI. Ruth's son Jim Gilmore will be officiating. Burial will be at Arthur Township Cemetery in Clare County. Ruth had a stroke on January 24, 2003 that had left her in need of twenty four hour care which was supplied primarily by her son in their home. On September 15, 2006, she suffered another stroke which led her to death a little over a week later. Her life's aspiration is inscribed on the tombstone shared by her and her husband: "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain" (Philippians 1:21). Funeral Home: R.G. & G.R.
