Russell E. Porter, February 28, 2019, age 79, of Westland. Beloved husband of Helen. Loving father of Russell E. (Pamela) and Roger D. (Cory). Dear grandfather of Maegan, Matthew, Zachary and Sydney. Great grandfather of Daniel. Brother of Douglas (Maureen), James (Beverly), Sylvia Schroder andDolores (Don) Jarrard. Russell was preceded in death by his siblings: Clarence “Doc”, Laverne, Kenneth, Ronald, Cora and Victor. Visitation Sunday (March 10, 2019) from 1pm until 9pm at the RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City. Funeral Service Monday (March 11, 2019) at 11am. Russell enjoyed hunting and spending time “up north”. One of his grandchildren summed him up with the following: He always put his wife first, loved Taco Bell, and told funny jokes at the family reunion.
