Russell Herriman

Russell James Herriman, age 70, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2022. Russell was born on March 9, 1951 in Bad Axe, Michigan to Grant Michael and Marguerite V (Yax) Herriman. Russell had six siblings, Leonard, Bruce, Daniel, Sharon, MaryAnn and Patricia. After completing high school at North Huron High School in Kinde, Michigan, Russell went to work at General Motors where he worked for 25 years. He met his future wife, Patricia (Bennett), and they married on November 10, 1973. Soon after they were married, Russell and Patricia moved to their home in Livonia, Michigan where their daughter and two sons were born. Russell was kind and generous, had a deep commitment to the Catholic church and was a devoted husband and father. He looked forward to taking walks, going out for breakfast and discussing sports with his family. He was involved in coaching his sons’ Devonaire Park softball team and never missed a sporting game throughout their school years. Being near his grandchildren and watching them play brought enjoyment to Russell’s days. Russell’s heart was Up North where he grew up, and he loved to talk about farm life and the various farm equipment he used. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, brother Leonard Herriman, and granddaughter Makenna Abel. Russell is survived by his wife Patricia (Bennett) Herriman, his three children Kimberly Davidson, Russell (Mousumi) Herriman and Dustin (Samantha) Herriman, eight grandchildren, Nikolas, Dimitrius, Lucian and Julian Davidson, Liam Herriman, and Wyatt, Owen and Levi Herriman, brothers Bruce Herriman and Daniel (Carol) Herriman, and sisters Sharon Herriman, MaryAnn (Douglas) Iseler and Patricia (Douglas) Errer, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia on Sunday, January 16, 2022, from 1:00 PM-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, January 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Please share a memory of Russell on his tribute wall.
