Ronald Cass Rogowicz, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully at Home on Monday, December 1st, 2025, in Livonia, Michigan, at the age of 83. Born on July 20, 1942, in Hamtramck, Michigan, Ron lived a life full of love, dedication, and enthusiasm for his family and passions.
He was a respected insurance agent, known for his integrity and dedication to helping others. Ron also served his country honorably in the U.S. Army National Guard, carrying a sense of duty and pride throughout his life.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Ruth Rogowicz, who stood by his side for many wonderful years. Cherishing his memory are his loving children, daughter Sherrell Boonstra and son Ron (Katy) Rogowicz. His legacy continues through his adored grandchildren: Tyler Boonstra, Caitlin Boonstra, Michael Boonstra, Stephanie Boonstra, Cass Rogowicz, Vivien Rogowicz, and Joseph Rogowicz, as well as his great-grandchild, Parker Boonstra.
Ron is also survived by his loving sister, Ellen Bigelow, and is fondly remembered as a cherished uncle by his many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his beloved parents, Cass and Helen Rogowicz, and his sister Ann Waldis.
Beyond his professional life, Ron had a passion for music and was an avid golfer. He found immense joy playing in the Plymouth Community Band, where his talents with many instruments shone brightly, particularly on the saxophone. His music brought joy to many and will be a lasting legacy of his creative spirit.
Ron touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his kindness, humor, and unfaltering support for those he loved. He will be dearly missed by many, but his spirit and memories will live on in the hearts of all he knew.
A Visitation will be held at held R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154 on Tuesday December 9, 2025, from 11:00-1:00pm. A service celebrating Ron's life will be held R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154 on Tuesday December 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM, In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Seedlings Braille Books for Children PO Box 51924 Livonia, Mi 48151 in Ron’s memory.
