Ronald R. Miesowicz

Ronald R. Miesowicz, of Livonia, age 64, passed away on June 26, 2024.

Beloved husband of Penny Walker for 12 years.  Beloved son of Marie and the late Richard Miesowicz.  Dear brother of Steven (Beth Gotthelf) Miesowicz and James (Doreen) Miesowicz.  Uncle of Elise (Joe) Gibson, Jessica and Lauren Miesowicz.  Great uncle of William and Benjamin Gibson.

After graduating from University of Michigan, Ron worked as a pharmacist for 39 years. He was always concerned about the wellbeing of others. He took care of people, but also helped them take care of themselves. He would get to know the patients he served and go beyond just filling their script; making house calls, empowering them with the knowledge and confidence to take charge of their health. He wanted to be the corner pharmacist that you can trust, build a community, and he did that in spades. He approached his whole life with the same demeanor. Always helping. Always guiding. Always giving of himself. Because of his selfless nature, he developed deep relationships with every life he touched.
As a younger man, he used to race muscle cars throughout the Detroit area. His love for going fast and wrenching on cars never faded. He restored a number of classic cars and enjoyed car shows, swap meets, and wheeling/dealing auto-parts with his friends. Ron also enjoyed weight lifting, collecting watches, Michigan football, but most of all he loved a good long conversation. He liked nothing more than just spending time with you and talking. Making you feel connected. Cared for. Heard. His impact is as immeasurable as his loss.

A  Funeral Service will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 1:00 until 8:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or St. Aidan Catholic Church.
