Robert Shahan

Robert Nelson Shahan passed away on April 28, 2022 at Angela Hospice in Livonia, Michigan at the age of 90. He was the widower of Edith (Johnston) Shahan. They shared 42 years of marriage together. Robert was born on November 28, 1931 on the family farm near Marquess, Preston County, West Virginia. He was the son of Blanche (Pysell) and Waitman T. Shahan. Robert retired from General Motors (Detroit Diesel) as a Journeyman Cutter Grinder. He enjoyed farming, gardening, hunting and cowboy movies. He will be remembered for his love of his many beagles and his most beloved dog, Scooter. Robert is survived by two brothers (Ross and Jacob Shahan), two sisters (Jean Poling and Sue Jackson) and two sisters-in-laws (Wanda Faye Shahan and Elena Shahan – Richardson). He is also survived by his children, Shallah (Richard) Harbaugh, Demery and James, and grand-children Kathryn and Sarah Harbaugh. He was predeceased by his son, Nelson Leon Shahan.
