It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Raymond Charles Joslin, of Franklin, Michigan, on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 73. Ray passed away unexpectedly due to an unforeseen illness.
Ray was born on December 1, 1951, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Walter and Myrtle Joslin. He was the second of five children in a busy and loving home. His siblings fondly recall a childhood filled with both fun and lighthearted sibling mischief.
After graduating from Clarenceville High School in 1969, Ray continued his education at Schoolcraft College and Madonna University earning his Bachelors Degree. He dedicated many years of his career to health care services where he worked as a dedicated Director.
Ray was a man who found joy in simple pleasures and brightened the lives of those around him. A true green-thumb, he poured his passion into his garden and lawn, often sharing his tips and bounty with friends and family. Ray was a frequent and happy figure in Marion, Michigan, where he cherished time spent at his cabin. He was also a devoted lover of Christmas, becoming the envy of his circle with his dazzling, multiple Christmas tree displays throughout the home he shared with his partner, Jay.
Ray is preceded in death by his beloved parents Walter and Myrtle Joslin. He is survived by his beloved partner of many years, Jerome "Jay" Zielinski; his siblings, Walter Joslin (Karen), Ruth Rice (late Doug), Myrna Joslin (late Artie), and Linda Spino (Dennis)as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, and close personal friends.
A visitation be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home , 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 1p.m. at Middle Branch Township Cemetery, located on 14 Mile Rd in Marion, Michigan 49665.
All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ray's life, and share their favorite memories.
