Jim Wilhelmsen aged 75 entered his eternal home and the arms of Jesus on January 15th 2026 in his hometown of Livonia Michigan. Born in the city of Detroit to parents Irene Mildred Patterson & Orwin (“Bill”) Wilhelmsen on the 22nd of July 1951.
Proud father of Jason Patrick Wilhelmsen (Jaimee), Rebecca Lynne Free (Alan), and David James Wilhelmsen. Grandfather of nine grandchildren; Keegan Wilhelmsen, Devyn Robert’s, Jacob Free, Tyler Free, Noah Free, Amelia Wilhelmsen, Jonah Wilhelmsen, Elijah Wilhelmsen and Abigail Wilhelmsen. Preceded in death by his parents Bill and Irene Wilhelmsen and his brother Thomas Wilhelmsen.
Jim, also known as “U.F.O. Jim” was a passionate follower of Jesus. He loved telling people about Gods goodness and mercy through Jesus Christ and his favorite scripture to quote and that he truly lived by was Romans 8:28. (As well as Genesis 6…if you know…you know!)
In the 70’s/80’s he was the pastor of the Kings Kids motorcycle ministry and later on in his life Jim was pastor/author of Echos of Enoch ministries.
Jim had a love of fishing, rock hounding, estate/garage sailing (that usually ended in some sort of divine appointment and him sharing the gospel). He loved his Si-Fi movies/shows and was also a HUGE Detroit Lions fan. Mostly Jim cherished spending time with his ministry friends and sharing his book (“Beyond Science Fiction”) with strangers and spreading the good news of Jesus!
Funeral service will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia on Saturday, February 7th with friends and family visitation from 2pm-6pm and Funeral Service at 6pm.
