Nijole Loretta Seaman

Nijole Loretta Seaman of Novi, MI passed away peacefully on October 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Lithuania, Nijole immigrated to the United States with her parents in 1949 and made her home in the Detroit area. She attended Holy Redeemer Catholic School and later studied at Henry Ford Community College, where she met the love of her life, Kenneth "Ken" Seaman. Their chance meeting in the college cafeteria blossomed into a lifelong love story. Nijole and Ken were married in 1966 and were blessed with two daughters, Kristina and Laura.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Nijole dedicated her life to caring for her family while also working in a variety of roles throughout the years, including as a bank teller and a longtime employee of Sears Roebucks.

Nijole took great pride in her Lithuanian heritage and loved sharing stories and traditions with family and friends. She found joy in spending time with her family and creating cherished memories through holiday celebrations that made every occasion feel special.

More than anything, Nijole will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for others. She had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for, always putting the needs of others before her own and giving without expecting anything in return. Her beautiful smile could light up a room, and her laughter brought joy to all who knew her. Simply being in her presence made life a little brighter.

The love she shared, the memories she created, and the countless lives she touched will remain her enduring legacy. Though she is no longer with us in person, she will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her and in the many ways she made their lives better.

Nijole was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Ken Seaman; her parents, Antanas & Genevieve Norus; and her brothers, Tomas and Antanas.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kristina (Algis) Rudis and Laura (Bill) Flesher; her cherished grandchildren, Antanas, Tomas, Emily, and Ashley; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Road, Livonia, Michigan, on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi, Michigan, on Thursday, November 5, 2026, with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by a mass at 10:30 a.m.

Following the funeral service, a procession will proceed to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Michigan, where Nijole will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband.
