Michael J. Belles

Michael J. Belles of Novi, age 84, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026.

Beloved son of the late Michael and Theresa Belles. Loving brother of Pamela (Gary) Pasant. Dear uncle of Michael (Tammie) Pasant, Tracey (Jeff) Johnson. Great uncle of Elise Johnson and Ryan Johnson.

Mike had a strong work ethic. From his first job at age 14, washing dishes at Wilson Dairy, all through his career in Automotive Sales, Mike always strived to give his best.

Mike was a true, life long friend and was always ready and willing to help in any way possible. He stayed in contact with classmates and coworkers right up to his last days.

Mike loved anything fast! Fast cars, fast boats, fast motorcycles. He owned more than 20 cars over his lifetime, including two Corvettes, and a Triumph motorcycle! He loved sports, especially golf. He even traveled to Augusta National to walk the course during a practice round of the Masters. And stood on the 18th green at Pebble Beach In California!

Mike’s life changed when he came to faith in Jesus Christ in the late 1980s. He had always been generous with his time, talent and treasure, but now his service was for God’s Glory and to win souls for Jesus. He served in the bus ministry, picking up nursing home residents for worship services. He volunteered at local missions and served in Los Angeles, feeding the homeless.

Mike was a life long bachelor, but his sister and her family were the apple of his eye and the focus of so many of his prayers. One of his last good days was spent laughing and joking with his family.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
