Loretta Jewett

(Loretta) Sue Jewett, 88, of Redford Township, Michigan, died on December 16, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills, Michigan from injuries sustained in an auto accident. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Roger) Trost, Mark (Debbie) Jewett, and Jane (David) Weaver; grandchildren Christie Andrus, Matthew Trost, Shawna Trost, David Trost, Scott Jewett, Lindsay Schmidt, Kristina Dey, and Brandon Roy; great-grandchildren Brady and Ronan Andrus, Hudson and Henry Trost, Olivia Trost, Sophia Schmidt, Abigail Jewett, and Emily and JJ Dey; brother-in-law Richard Sparling and niece Laura (Sparling) Carrier. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois (Ellis) Katzer, father Herbert Ellis, brothers Robert and Eugene Ellis, sister Mary Jo Sparling and niece Judy Sparling. Sue was born in Bedford, Indiana and shared her 3 children with former husband Douglas Jewett. She was a woman of faith and a member of Farmington Hills Church of God. She was a lifelong homemaker who loved music, sewing, and gardening, retired from Sisters of Mercy after 15 years of employment. Due to COVID, plans to honor Sue’s life will be made at a later date.
