Larry Vaughn, Sr.

Larry Vaughn Sr, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, entered Heaven on December 23rd.

Larry was the devoted husband of Beverly Vaughn, with whom were high school sweethearts of 58 years and shared a lifetime of love and memories. He was a proud father to Laurie (Todd) Bergevin and Larry Vaughn Jr. Larry was also a proud uncle to Gerri-Lynn Allen. But above all else, Larry’s greatest joy and proudest role in life was being a grandfather to his grandchildren: Dakota Bergevin, Josh Bergevin and Savannah (Sean) McCormack. He never missed an opportunity to be present in their lives, and his love for them was unwavering. He also carried the title of “Grandpa” to many more who were not connected by blood, but loved like family.

Larry’s favorite moments were spent with his family, especially during his cherished days up north at his property on Tippy Dam. Those were his happiest times—fishing, laughing, and watching family and friends enjoy the beautiful place he loved so much. A skilled fisherman and a generous host, Larry found his greatest peace in nature and in the company of those he loved.

He is now reunited in Heaven with his mother, Myrtle, his father, John, and his two brothers, Johnny and Gerri, who he missed dearly.

Larry will be remembered for his deep love for family, his pride in being a grandfather, and the countless memories he created that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy of love, presence, and togetherness will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd. Livonia, Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM and Monday, December 29, 2005 from 11:00 AM until his Funeral Service at 12:00 PM.
