King Kwai Yu (Lai), 83, of Ypsilanti, Michigan, passed away on January 28, 2026. Born on August 23, 1942, she grew up in Macau, Hong Kong, and the United States.
King was a devoted wife to Sze Hok Yu, loving mother to Chung-Ho (Jean), Ka-Yee, Chung-Wai (Megan), and Chung-Ming, and cherished grandmother to Lalyn, Aedin, Hannah, Michael, Adilyn, Brayden, and Jaclyn. She worked in the restaurant industry and as a homemaker, and she loved gardening, cooking, traveling, and shopping. King will be remembered for her strength, selflessness, and dedication to her family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2026 starting at 1:00 pm at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, MI. Entombment will be held Monday, February 9, 2026, at 11:00 am at Mt. Hope Memorial Gardens, Livonia, MI.
