Kenneth J. Davey, age 84, of Canton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2026.
Ken was the beloved husband of Lori Davey for 65 wonderful years. He was the loving father of Tracie (Brian) Misiak, Linda (Michael) Barnett, and the late Kurt Davey. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley, Chelsea (Silas), Sean, Tyler, and Carter, and cherished great-grandfather of Jada and Lucas. He was the dear brother of the late Catherine Hubbert and Margaret Davey, half-brother of Dolly Davey and the late James Davey.
Ken lived a long and fulfilling life, filled with love, laughter, family, and unforgettable memories. He enjoyed a successful career as a Quality Engineer at Unisys before retiring.
An avid sports fan, Ken loved cheering on his favorite Detroit sports teams, the University of Michigan, and following car racing. His impressive collection of hats proudly represented his favorite teams and his lifelong passion for sports.
One of Ken’s proudest personal accomplishments was his journey in sobriety. Through his involvement with Alcoholics Anonymous, he became a source of strength, encouragement, and friendship to others. Over the years, he served as a sponsor to many, helping guide and support them on their own journeys to recovery. His willingness to share his experiences and help others was a meaningful part of his life and a lasting part of his legacy.
Above all else, Ken’s greatest love was his family. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was a familiar and proud presence on the sidelines of his grandchildren’s sporting events and in the audience at their dance recitals. No matter the occasion, Ken loved being there to cheer them on and celebrate their accomplishments.
Those who knew Ken will remember his one-of-a-kind personality — sometimes goofy, sometimes grumpy, but always unmistakably Ken. He could make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and leave you with a story to tell. It was these little things that made him so special and so loved.
Ken leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, countless stories, and a family who will forever carry his love in their hearts. His legacy of perseverance, kindness, humor, and devotion to family will live on through all those whose lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
