Katherine M. DeFrain

Katherine M. DeFrain, of Garden City, age 63, passed away on January 19, 2026.

Beloved mother of Jennifer Taylor, Craig (Dionna) DeFrain and Emily (Ryan) Hamma. Dear grandmother of Hailee, Adriana and Mason DeFrain and Elanor Hamma. Dearest sister of Maureen (Paul) Woloszyk, Edward Hall, James Hall, Elizabeth Borowski, Peter Hall and the late Michael Hall.

Katherine was a devoted Nana to her four grandchildren. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with them. She worked as a phlebotomist for over 30 years, gaining many lifelong friendships along the way. 3:15 was coffee time with the girls, and Saturdays were spent playing cards with her siblings.

A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Saturday, January 24, 2026 from 10:00 AM until her Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon.
