Joyce Ramsey

With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Joyce Irene Ramsey, who departed this life peacefully on September 17, 2025. She was 84 years old.

Born in Hancock Michigan, Joyce lived a life marked by grace, strength, and a quiet wisdom that touched all who knew her. She carried herself with dignity and warmth, offering compassion freely and always placing others before herself. Her life was a beautiful testament to resilience, love, and unwavering enthusiasm.

Joyce was a devoted [wife/mother/grandmother/sister/friend], and her family was the heart of her world. She nurtured her home with kindness and filled it with laughter, good food, and stories that will be cherished for generations.

A woman of many gifts, Joyce found joy in watching hockey, antiquing and visiting her grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of integrity, generosity, and quiet acts of kindness that made a difference in more lives than she ever knew.

Preceded in death by her loving husband Bob Ramsey; she is survived by her 2 sons, Brian and Marc, their families - (Brian, Ana (Son Antonio Duperron, Devany, Ligia), Colin, Alisia) (Marc, Debbie, Marissa, Josh), her sister Sue (Mike), many nieces/nephews and her dear friend Chris (Mother of Colin). Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the love she gave and the lives she touched.

A celebration of Joyce and Bob’s life, as Bob passed in February 2020, will be held on September 25, 2025 from 3:00 - 8:00 pm at the RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI 48154. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend and share memories of a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to either Dementia Society of America (https://www.dementiasociety.org/) for Joyce Ramsey or to Yankee Air Museum (https://miflightmuseum.org/ ) in memory of Bob Ramsey.
