Herbert Oxley

Herbert Oxley Age 93 May 9, 2005 Beloved husband of Eileen for 58 years. Dear father of Bob (Cindy). Dearest grandfather of Kelley L. Oxley. Dear brother of Charles and the late Arthur. Herbert and Eileen lived in Dearborn for 58 years. He worked at General Motors Corp. and then retired from Ford Motor Co. in 1975 after 35 years. Herbert was a Charter Member of Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church in Dearborn. Herbert was an avid golfer with three hole-in-ones to his name in league play for the Ford Motor Company men's golf league. He was still playing up to the age of 88! He also held the State of Michigan High School 220 M record for Pontiac Central High School (1929) that was not broken until 1995. Funeral service Friday 10:30 AM at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia. Visitation will be Wednesday 6-9PM and Thursday 12-9 PM. Mr Oxley was a research Engineer for Ford Motor Company.
