Gurbakhsh (Guru) Rai Kapur of Livonia, age 85, died peacefully on April 1, 2022. Beloved husband of Sushma Kapur. Loving father of Divisha Kapur and Vimi (Martin) Beyer. Dear grandfather of Brady and Remy. A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Wednesday, April 6, 2022 from 11 AM-1 PM until a Funeral Service at 1:15 PM. Cremation services following. Guru immigrated to the US in 1973 with very little to his name. Having a passion for education, he Mastered Nuclear and Electrical Engineering. He strived to ensure his daughters were educated and independent. He loved his grandsons dearly. He would teach them mathematical tricks and encourage them to work hard. Guru was the primary reason for many friends & relatives following in his footsteps in coming to this country. He was steadfast in his beliefs and was eager to share his vast knowledge of spirituality with many. He will be missed. Om Shanti.
