Gary Alan Smereck, of Detroit, age 73, passed away peacefully September 22, 2024.
Beloved husband of Jearlene Griffin-Smereck. Loving father of Dwayne (Mya) Lofton, Mimi (Mark) Griffin, Joseph (DePresha) Smereck, and Jalen Smereck. Grandfather of Kyla, Leah, Nia, Bruce, Julian, Jaleya, Jaisley and Nova.Son of the late Carl and Mary Smereck. Beloved Brother of Dr. Susan Smereck, MD (Hamid Mohammadi) and the late Todd and Dr. Karen Smereck, DDS. Also survived by several cousins.
A Funeral Service will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Monday, September 30, 2024. A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 29, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
