Gail Marie Gruen

Gail Marie Gruen, 78, of Westland, MI passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026 at Corewell Health Hospital in Taylor, Michigan. A celebration of her life will be held on April 25, 2026 from 1:00-4:00 pm, with Eulogy being given at 3:00 pm at R.G. and G.R. Funeral Home at 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia, MI. Cremation remains will be attended to at a future date.

Gail was born in Detroit, MI on November 16th, 1947 to Art and Ann Gruen. She was the middle of 3 daughters. She grew up in Westland where she lived the majority of her life until her passing.

She graduated from Wayne Memorial High School in 1965 and then attended Schoolcraft College earning her associates degree in accounting. She made a career at Ford Motor Company and worked there until retirement in 2001.

Gail greatly enjoyed celebrating holidays and traditions with family and friends. She was an avid Teddy Bear and Doll collector. She enjoyed all things ELVIS and was a true fan. Gail also loved to travel, with Hawaii being one of her favorite destinations. She delighted in life at Marble Lake. It was a place she cherished and where she spent many evenings by the lake watching her sunsets.

Gail was very fortunate to have many valued relationships in her life, including her partner Bill, her older sister Karen, her younger sister Barb and many other family and friends.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Barb. She is survived by her partner Bill Berry, sister Karen Klinebriel, nephew Joe (Jill) Klinebriel, niece Amy (Mike) Lee, great nephews Sam and Miller and her great niece Maren.

Gail’s family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional care provided by the doctors at Corewell Health, the nurses and staff that work at Dearborn and Taylor Corewell hospitals , and also Heart-to-Heart Hospice, all of whom insured that Gail received excellent care during her final days.
