Fredrick Allan Campbell

Fredrick Allan “Fred” Campbell, age 72, of Northville, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2026. He was born on September 9, 1954, to Gordon and Nancy Campbell and grew up in Garden City, Michigan.

Fred was a man of deep faith, strong character, and unwavering dedication to the people he loved. He attended Baptist Bible College in Missouri, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Theology, and later continued his education at Tennessee Temple University, earning his Master’s degree in Education. Fred began his professional career as an ordained Reverend before entering the field of education. His natural leadership, intelligence, and compassion led him to positions as a principal at schools in Texas and Massachusetts. He later continued his career as Director of Training for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Fred eventually found success in sales with Comcast, where he completed his career before retiring as an accomplished salesman.

While Fred accomplished much throughout his professional life, he considered his greatest accomplishments to be found within his family. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife, Claudia, with whom he shared 52 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with family, laughter, travel, and countless memories.

Fred was a loving father to Justin and Garrett and a proud grandfather to Rachel, Sean, Gavin, Collette, Calder, and Callum. His family was at the center of his life, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with them. He was a man who consistently put others before himself, giving generously of his time, his heart, and whatever he had to offer.

Fred had many interests that brought him joy throughout his life. He loved collecting coins, watching sports, listening to blues music, enjoying good barbecue, traveling with Claudia, and traveling with his sister Marie and her family. He also enjoyed following and managing his stock portfolio. Whether he was pursuing one of his many interests or simply spending time with those he loved, Fred brought his characteristic humor, curiosity, and enthusiasm to everything he did.

Those who knew Fred will remember him as funny, hardworking, intelligent, compassionate, courageous, and a true leader. He had a generous spirit and a remarkable ability to make others feel valued. He faced life with strength and courage and continually looked for ways to help those around him. Above all, Fred will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, beloved brother, and a friend to many.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Nancy Campbell. He is survived by his beloved wife, Claudia Campbell; his loving sons, Justin Campbell and Garrett (Kate) Campbell; his cherished grandchildren, Rachel, Sean, Gavin, Collette, Calder, and Callum; his sisters, Karen (the late Fred) Passow and Marie Kaledas; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him dearly.

A Funeral Service will be held at R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Michigan, on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 24, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 PM.

Following the funeral service, a procession will proceed to Parkview Cemetery in Livonia, Michigan, where Fred will be laid to rest. 

Fred leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, leadership, generosity, and devotion to his family. Though he will be deeply missed, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
