Eric Scott Estes was born to Brian and Cheri Estes on July 18th, 1981. He lived his whole life in Livonia, MI. as an only child. Eric played hockey till the age of 18 in the LHA, along with a love for playing baseball with his neighborhood friends in the Devonaire Woods Baseball association. He loved the outdoors where he could go dirt bike riding, 4 wheeling, fishing, and jet skiing. He spent most of his childhood free time vacationing at the family cottage in Alanson, MI. Eric’s true love was the lawn, landscaping & snow industry. He knew from an early age exactly what he wanted to do for a living and made it a reality. At the age of 15, Eric formed 5 Star Lawncare LLC while attending Franklin High School in Livonia. He later sold his business to Clippers Landscape & Supply; Eric joined their team and took on the role of Operations Manager. Eric married Jennie Noble Banks & they had 2 wonderful children Addison Nicole, (age 17) & Easton Blake (age14) Estes. Jennie & Eric continued a loving friendship till his passing co-parenting both children.
In January 2023, Eric was diagnosed with multiply myeloma cancer and fought a courageous battle until the Lord decided that he needed Eric, and therefore took him home on November 12, 2024. Eric’s death has left all his family, friends and all that had the blessing of knowing him in absolute disbelief and broken hearted.
Eric poured his heart and soul into his work at Plow-Right Marking Stakes, a sister company to Clippers. All of those who Eric worked with absolutely admired him. There truly wasn’t anything that Eric couldn’t do. Eric touched many lives and made it a point to make all those he encountered feel so important and special. Eric loved what he did, and it showed.
Eric is survived by his parents Brian and Cheri Estes, his two children Addison and Easton Estes, along with many Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins.
“You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why. A million times we’ll need you, a million times we’ll cry. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a special place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but we know we’re not alone. For you will always be a part of us, until the day we all go home.” Author Unknown.
