Elton W. Decker

Elton W. Decker, of Livonia, age 88, went home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2021. Beloved husband of Dorene. Loving father of Sandi (Tom) Spencer and the late Stephen Decker. Dear grandfather of Cole and Shannyn Spencer. Brother of Dale (Yvonne) Decker and Lois (the late Kenneth) Wielenga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Elton spent his career on his family farm and then later retired form Detroit Edison after nearly 30 years of service. Elton came to know Christ on July 29th, 1949 and continued to grow as a steadfast servant to the Lord. He was a lifelong member of the Stark Road Gospel Hall where he faithfully served as an elder and shepherd to many. He had a true passion for the gospel, and was known for his selfless dedication of time whether spiritual or practical. A Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Monday, November 15, 2021 from 5 - 8 pm. Instate at Stark Road Gospel Hall, 9280 Stark Rd., Livonia, Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 10 am until his Funeral Service at 11 am.
