Elaine Chernenkoff

On September 4, 2025, our beloved mother, Elaine C. Chernenkoff, went home to be with the Lord. She is now at peace, embraced by the grace of God. Elaine lived a life of faith and was devoted to Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, in 2015. Elaine is survived by her children, Dee, Russell (Celeste), and Eric (Diane), three grandchildren, Theresa (Jeff), Steven (Kristen), and Ethan, and three great-grandchildren, Chloe, Oliver, and Alex. Elaine was born on July 3, 1929, to Charles and Inez Asch and was the youngest of three daughters. She was working at American Standard when she met Alex and later enjoyed teaching at the Inter-City Baptist Church child care program. Elaine also enjoyed working behind the scenes in her church kitchen and traveling with Alex visiting family and friends. She will be dearly missed and will always be remembered for her faith and love and devotion to her family.

A visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 11:00 AM until her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.
