Donald Allan Greschaw

Donald Allan Greschaw passed away at the age of 90 in Plymouth, Michigan where he had resided for the past two and a half years. He was born on March 6, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to Dolores and Charles Greschaw.

Don was a graduate of Mumford High School in Detroit and later earned his degree from Lawrence Technological University in Southfield. He built a long and dedicated career with Ford Motor Company, retiring after 37 years of service in Personnel Services at Ford World Headquarters in Dearborn.

Don and his beloved wife, Karen (Scherbarth), shared 57 years of marriage. Together, they raised their family in Livonia, creating a loving home filled with family, memories, and traditions. Karen preceded him in death in 2024 and Don carried her memory in his heart throughout the past few years.

After retirement, Don devoted much of his time to his passion for collecting and his antique business. He had a particular appreciation for uniform buttons, military memorabilia, and hunting and fishing gear. His curiosity, knowledge, and enthusiasm for these treasures brought him great joy. He also treasured his time in Harbor Springs, a special place where he enjoyed the beauty, peace, and simple pleasures of northern Michigan.

Don will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Heather Leavitt (Bob) and Robin Skiadas (Costis); his beloved granddaughters, Maddie Leavitt, Elaine Skiadas and Alison Skiadas; and his brother, Randy Greschaw (Barb). He leaves behind a legacy of devotion to his family, a lifelong curiosity about history and collecting, and countless cherished memories for all who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
