Dolores Marguerite Valente

Dolores M. Valente (Bohrer) passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025. Dolores was born on February 2, 1934, in Dearborn Michigan, to Albert and Ella Bohrer. She grew up in Detroit. Dolores married Leonard Valente in 1960. Once married they bought a house in Livonia Michigan where they spent the remainder of their lives raising two sons.

Dolores attended St. Leo’s High School. Throughout her life she maintained relationships with many alumni. Dolores belonged to the Livonia Garden Club for a number of years and had a great appreciation for nature in general. Most of all she loved animals and lovingly cared for many cats and other pets throughout her life. She supported many organizations that advocated for the wellbeing of animals and nature.

Loving mother of sons Leonard James (Renee) and Paul (Jeanne). Caring sister to Marguerite Bohrer, and devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, parents Albert and Ella, brothers James, Paul, George, Albert, Joseph, and sisters Marie and Monica.

Dolores will be remembered by her family for being a caring loving person with a sharp mind and quick wit.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday December 9th at St. Edith Catholic Church, 15089 Newburgh Rd, Livonia, MI from 10am until 11am. A Funeral Mass will follow at the church after the visitation at 11am.
