Delphine Mazurek

Delphine Mazurek, born January 26, 1936, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 90.

Beloved wife of the late Ronald F. Mazurek for 56 years. Loving mother of Kathy Mazurek (Tim), Ron Mazurek Jr. (Julie), Laurie Cirino (Nick), Deb Kolnitys (Tim), Gary Mazurek (Ann), Ken Mazurek (Kosy), and Mary Kay Abraham (Rick). She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother to 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her brother, Robert Mistalski, preceded her in death.

While raising her family, Delphine worked midnights in Oakwood Hospital’s Admitting Department. She loved gardening, traveling, playing cards and games, doing crossword puzzles, and shopping. She was actively involved in the Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church parish for many years, including serving as treasurer of the Mother Cabrini Guild.

Delphine enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren in their sporting activities and passed on her knowledge of proper English to generations of family members — often reminding them, “Cakes are done; people are finished.” She loved going to the movies, dining out, and spending time with old friends. In her later years, one of her favorite pastimes was sitting in the sunshine on her swing.

Delphine Mazurek’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at RG & GR Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 15451 Farmington Rd., Livonia, MI 48154. A Rosary service will take place at 7:00 PM.

Visitation will resume on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at St. Genevieve–St. Maurice Catholic Church, 29015 Jamison St., Livonia, MI 48154, from 9:30 AM until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.
