David S. Eason of Livonia, Age 72. Beloved husband of Kate Eason, devoted father to Kristy (Roy) Eason and Jessica (Jon) Longuski. Proud and doting grandfather to Jade and Raven Longuski. Dear brother to Larry and Jim Eason. David is survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, and inlaws. He will be remembered for his kind and relentless spirit, perfectly timed wit, and catlike reflexes.

David loved fishing, golfing, science fiction, and hanging out at the casino. Even more than all of that, he loved spending time with his family for Sunday dinners and adventurous outings to the zoo, a playground, or the movie theater. He was an exceptional listener and an endless fountain of knowledge, sage advice, and dad jokes.

David’s family was his world. Despite obligatory teasing, he never missed a figure skating competition, horse show, choir concert, or theatrical production. He loved exploring food and trying out new restaurants and travel destinations with his wife. One of his life’s greatest joys was becoming a grandparent alongside Kate, a duty they both carried out lovingly and with great enthusiasm over the last five years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Visitation will be held at the R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, 15451 Farmington Rd, Livonia on Friday, October 24, from 2:00pm - 8:00pm and the Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 25 at 11:00am with a luncheon to follow.
