Berniece Arlene Adams, 12/2/1924 - 10/9/2014.] Berniece Arlene Adams passed away in her sleep Oct 9, 2014, at Arden Courts, Livonia. Berniece was born in Dearborn to Raymond and Emma (Dopp) Norway. She married Hyle M. Adams ("Jack") on March 27, 1943. While he served his country overseas in the Army, Berniece served as an inspector at the Willow Run Bomber Plant. After the war, they settled in Wayne, eventually moving to Garden City in 1954. After retirement, they resided in Newport and Canton. In recent years, Berniece has lived at Arden Courts, in Livonia. Hyle preceded her in death on March 31, 2000. Berniece was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Marilyn Norway in 1923; her father, Raymond Norway in 1952; her son-in-law, Harold Morris in 1985; her mother, Emma Norway in 1993; her brother, Len Norway in 2001; and her youngest son, Bob Adams in 2002. Berniece is survived by four children: her daughter Sharon (Doug) Ferry, of Garden City; her son David Adams, of Carleton; her son Roger (Joann) Adams, of Ruth; her son Gordon (Gala) Adams, of Chesterfield; and her daughter-in-law Tammy Adams, of Westland. She is also survived by her younger sister, Joyce (David) Johnson, of Dearborn. Berniece is also survived by ten grandchildren: Tim Morris, Eric (Carrie) Adams, Jason Adams, Amy Adams, Sarah Adams, Danielle Adams, Jessica (Greg) Conz, Jon (Rachel) Adams, Bethany (Troy) Priebe, and David Adams. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren: Austin Adams, Brooke Conz, Madison Priebe, Bobbie Rose Druyor, Benjamin Adams, Logan Priebe, Alivia Conz, Abigail Adams, Adrianna June, Nickalas Conz, Elizabeth Adams, Madelynn Adams, JJ Adams, and Christian Adams. Berniece liked the outdoors and enjoyed camping with her family. She traveled to all parts of the Continental US and Hawaii. She also visited Europe, the Holy Land, and Egypt. Her great love was Egypt, its history, and its archaeology. She also participated in archaeological digs. She had a great interest in history and genealogy and spent years researching records from both sides of her family. She was a skilled and prolific photograper and has left a wealth of slides and prints of her family gatherings and her travels over the years. She was an avid reader and loved music, teaching her family to appreciate good books and great music (especially classical). She was a devoted Christian and was active in her church, Merriman Road Baptist Church, serving as choir member, Sunday School teacher, and church secretary. Visitation at the R.G. & G.R.
