Barbara J. Padgett

Barbara Padgett, age 74, went home to be the with the Lord on Sunday, March 1, 2020, peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones. Barbara was born November 1, 1945, to Leonard and Charlotte Tate. She was a loving wife to John Padgett for 41 years. She was a loving mother to Shelly (Durk) Hunt of Asheville NC, Connie (Darryl) Carroll of Westland and the late Allen (Lisa) Eyell. She was grandmother to: Chrissa, Kandice, Diallo, Kishi, Meghan, Shannon, Jessica, Michael, Joshua, Kyla, Jennifer, Johathan, Loren, D. Anthony, Dominique, Darryl Jr., Daniel, Mike, Walter and Laretha. She is also survived by many great grandchildren; her brother Buzzy; and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Tate; brother Cliff Tate; sister Gloria and son Allen Eyell. Barbara truly loved her family. She enjoyed being outdoors in the sunshine, which she always said made her feel good. Barbara loved playing different games including ladder golf, darts and pool. She enjoyed drinking a beer, working in her yard and just being with her family. Her funeral service will be on Friday, March 6, 2020, at 5pm at the RG & GR Harris Funeral Home, 31551 Ford Rd., Garden City. Visitation will be Friday from 2-5pm.
