Alexander Grandsko

Alexander (Alex) Grandsko Age 70, passed away on March 7, 2014. Alex was born in Dearborn, Michigan on January 28, 1944 and was a 40 year resident of Westland, Michigan. To know Alex was to love him; always with a smile, a big hug, and a bad joke to tell. Alex had a huge heart, especially for his grandchildren. A hard worker, Alex retired from Detroit Diesel (General Motors) in 1994. He was a loving husband to his wife of 38 years, Sally Grandsko, and father of four: Laura Strockbine, John Grandsko, Kelly Holzwart, and Derek Holzwart. Alex is also survived by his six grand-children: Dylan Martin, Gage Gower, Hunter Gower, Shelby Strockbine, Alexander Grandsko, and Chaz Grandsko; and his two sisters Frannie Holtz and Helen Miller. Leaving behind relatives and dear friends too long to list, Alex will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Alex's name to The American Diabetes Association. Visitation Wednesday from 11am until 1pm at the R.G. & G.R.
