Adam Royal Poppenger passed from this mortal life into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. We know that Adam is set free from the struggles he had during his life. We also know that he's happy and we'll meet again someday. Adam was born on July 22nd, 1978 in Southfield, Michigan to Bill (William) and Missy (Helen) Poppenger. Adam was the youngest of three sons. Adam grew up in Livonia Michigan and attended Livonia schools including Grant Elementary and Livonia Franklin High School. Adam was always a restless soul, he loved to build things and use his carpentry talents to bless the lives of others. Adam was known for his willingness to help anyone, and this was evident in his service as a volunteer fireman on the Hamburg Fire Department when he was younger. Adam would face challenges with tremendous courage and bravery throughout his life. In recent years, Adam worked in transportation including automobile transport, heavy equipment by way of local and over the road driving. Adam enjoyed seeing different parts of the country and having the responsibility over large truckloads of freight, automobiles and military equipment. In order to avoid the loneliness of the road, Adam found a great friend in his faithful dog Kimber. Adam and Kimber were inseparable even until his death. They have a special bond, and she has been a tremendous help to him over the years. Adam is survived by his Mom (Missy), his Dad (Bill) and his two older brothers Christopher and Carson (Amy) who live in Utah. In addition, Adam is survived by his nieces Isabelle, Emma and Katelyn Poppenger (Utah) whom he loved dearly. Adam is also survived by his partner of many years, Shelly Sembarski (Michigan). During many ups and downs of Adam's life, Shelly stood by his side and did everything she could to help him. Adam is also survived by his loving cousins, aunts and uncles which include: Connie & Art Buchanan (MI), Jim & Joann McFall (MI), Kevin Sullivan (GA) and their families and numerous cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Poppenger, Sullivan and his uncle Mark. We wish everyone to remember the kindness and goodness Adam displayed throughout his life, for friends and strangers alike rather than the circumstances surrounding his passing. We love you Adam and you'll forever be on our mind. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27th, 2014 from 11AM until his funeral service at 1 PM.
