Abram Andres, a resident of Fox Run in Novi, Michigan passed from earth to his heavenly home on April 8, 2022, at the age of 95 after a brief illness of cancer. Abe is survived by his children Karen Holmes (d.Emmett), Joyce Savage, Gordon Andres (Michelle), Dorothy Holmes (d.George Jr,) Don Andres (Lisa), Cindy-Lou Seguin (Carl) Stepchildren, John Croll (Dawn), Nancy Johnson, Tom Croll (Linda) Katy Reynolds (Darrell). He was Grandfather to 26 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife Frieda & second wife Suzanne, Stepson Jim Croll, Father (Isaac), Mother (Elizabeth), Brother’s John, Jack, & Henry, Sister’s Anne & Esther and Granddaughter, Darlene Renee Savage. Dad attended school until 6th grade when he then went to work to help support his large family. Dad had a diverse employment history. He worked for Niagara Road Commission in Virgil, Ontario for 19 years which he absolutely loved and sold life insurance as a second job. After moving his family to the United States in 1964 he became a carpenter for 20 years and often did side jobs on evenings and weekends remodeling homes. He was especially proud of all the custom homes that he had build including 5 of his own homes! Since 1967 we as a family attended Ward Presbyterian Church where dad also served as a deacon and elder. He felt God’s calling and took the job as Administrator of Building & Grounds at Ward where he worked until he retired. His hobby was woodworking, building many custom pieces of furniture and making wood decor as gifts. Dad also loved to bowl, golf and was on several leagues with his wife Sue. They also loved to do puzzles and after Sue passed there was always a puzzle on Dad’s table. In fact, dad framed many of their favorites to hang on the wall. He walked daily and on many days the construction workers referred to him as their crew foreman as he watched and gave input on all the new construction being built at Fox Run. Abe was very devoted to his family and friends. We were so thankful when 10 years ago Dad & Sue moved to Fox Run in Novi where they enjoyed the many amenities that they offered and made many new friends. We often marveled how everyone knew him by name and was well liked. Memorial contributions may be directed Angela Hospice (www.angelahospice.org) The family would like to thank everyone for all your cards, support and prayers at this difficult time. We definitely feel the love! Please share a memory of Abram on his Tribute Wall. https://www.tributeslides.com/tributes/show/MTFR9XFBCFS5BSJW
